About Stone of Help
At Stone of Help, we believe that every child and every family deserves a strong foundation — one built on compassion, dignity, opportunity, and community. Founded in the heart of Glassboro, New Jersey, our nonprofit organization was created in response to the pressing needs of underserved youth and families across Gloucester County and New Jersey as a whole. Rooted in faith and driven by purpose, we are a community-centered foundation with a mission to uplift and empower through education, mentoring, and essential support services.
Our name, Stone of Help, is inspired by the biblical reference to "Ebenezer," meaning “Thus far the Lord has helped us.” It is a constant reminder that our strength and progress come not from ourselves alone, but from God — and from the community we are blessed to serve and build together.
We exist to stand in the gap for vulnerable populations — particularly youth — by offering practical tools for growth, resources for stability, and relationships that nurture hope. Whether it’s helping a student succeed in school with basic necessities, or ensuring a struggling family has access to food, our programs are designed to meet people where they are and walk alongside them with care and purpose.
At our core, Stone of Help is not just an organization; it's a movement of compassion. We believe in the power of people helping people — of communities lifting one another up.
We are also deeply committed to collaboration — working with schools, churches, businesses, and local leaders to extend our reach and magnify our impact. We know that no one organization can do it all, but together, we can move mountains for the next generation.
At Stone of Help, our work is more than service — it’s a calling. Every hand we hold, every meal we give, every lesson we teach is guided by our unwavering faith and values: The God Factor, Dedication, Empowerment, Excellence, Integrity, and Community.
Together, we are building a future where no child is forgotten, no family is left behind, and every person is reminded that help is not only possible — it’s already on the way.
